Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Form the Risotto Balls

In a large bowl, combine the cooked risotto, diced mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Shape the Balls

Using your hands, take about 2 tablespoons of the risotto mixture and form it into a ball. Repeat until all the mixture is used.

  3. 3

    Prepare for Breading

Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs.

  4. 4

    Bread the Risotto Balls

Roll each risotto ball first in flour, then dip in the beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs. Ensure each ball is fully covered.

  5. 5

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  6. 6

    Fry the Balls

Carefully add the breaded risotto balls to the hot oil in batches. Fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve the risotto balls hot with marinara sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
