Pulled Pork

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork

In a small bowl, mix together onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Rub the spice mixture evenly over the pork shoulder.

  2. 2

    Cook the Pork

Place the seasoned pork shoulder in a slow cooker. Pour water around the pork and cover the slow cooker. Cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender and easily shredded with a fork.

  3. 3

    Shred the Pork

Once cooked, remove the pork shoulder from the slow cooker and shred it with two forks. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and stir in the barbecue sauce. Cook on low for an additional 30 minutes.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Sliders

Toast the brioche mini buns if desired. Spoon the pulled pork mixture onto the bottom half of each bun, and add pickles on top. Place the top half of the bun on and serve.
