Crêpe and Filling

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Crêpe Batter

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, milk, eggs, and melted butter until smooth. Let the batter rest for 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Crêpes

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter into the skillet, swirling to coat the bottom. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the edges lift, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden. Repeat with remaining batter.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Filling

Peel and slice the apples. In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add the apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cook until the apples are tender and caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.

  4. 4

    Toast the Walnuts

In a separate small skillet, toast the walnuts over medium heat until fragrant, about 3-5 minutes. Remove from heat and chop coarsely.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Crêpes

Place a crêpe on a plate. Spoon some of the caramelized apples and walnuts into the center. Fold the crêpe over the filling.

  6. 6

    Serve

Drizzle caramel sauce over the filled crêpes and serve warm.
