Preparing the Ahi Tuna

Marinate the Ahi Tuna
In a bowl, mix the sesame oil, soy sauce, lime juice, and black sesame seeds. Add the ahi tuna steak and coat evenly. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.

Sear the Ahi Tuna
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated ahi tuna and sear for 1-2 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness. Remove from heat and let it rest.
Making the Sesame Dressing

Combine Dressing Ingredients
In a small bowl, whisk together tahini, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, minced garlic, water, and sesame oil until smooth and creamy.
Assembling the Salad

Prepare the Salad Base
In a large bowl or plate, layer the mixed greens, sliced avocado, and cucumber (sliced thinly).

Slice the Ahi Tuna
After the ahi tuna has rested, slice it into thin strips.

Top the Salad
Place the sliced ahi tuna on top of the salad base. Drizzle the sesame dressing over the salad.

Garnish with additional black sesame seeds if desired and serve immediately.
