Base Preparation

    Preheat the Oven

    Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking.

    Mix Dry Ingredients

    In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, salt, and baking powder until well combined.

    Combine Wet Ingredients

    In another bowl, mix the melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk. Stir until smooth.

    Combine Mixtures

    Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix.

Filling Preparation

    Gently fold in the coconut flakes, pineapple chunks, and chopped macadamia nuts into the batter until evenly distributed.

Baking and Topping

    Prepare Baking Dish

    Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish and pour the batter into it, spreading it evenly.

    Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

    Let the cake cool for 10 minutes. After cooling, sprinkle with powdered sugar and toasted coconut flakes before serving.
