Prepare the Scallops
Rinse the fresh sea scallops under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

Cook the Scallops
In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Once the butter is melted and bubbly, add the scallops. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Prepare the Crabmeat Mixture
In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Then, add the crabmeat, lemon juice, and chopped parsley. Stir gently to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

Serve
Place the cooked scallops on a serving platter and top with the crabmeat mixture. Garnish with additional parsley if desired. Serve immediately.
