Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Picanha

Trim excess fat from the Picanha steak, leaving about 1/4 inch for flavor. Season generously with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Grill the Steak

Preheat your grill to high heat. Place the Picanha on the grill, fat side down, and cook for about 5-7 minutes. Flip and cook for another 5-7 minutes for medium-rare. Remove from grill and let rest.

  3. 3

    Cook the Sausage

On the same grill, add the Brazilian sausage and cook until browned, about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Collard Greens

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Add collard greens and cook until wilted, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

  5. 5

    Cook the Black Beans

Rinse the black beans and simmer them in a pot with water for about 1-1.5 hours or until tender. Season with salt to taste.

  6. 6

    Cook the Rice

In a saucepan, combine 2 cups of rice with 4 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes or until water is absorbed.

  7. 7

    Prepare the Fries

Fry or bake the French fries according to package instructions until golden brown and crispy.

  8. 8

    Serve

Slice the rested Picanha and serve it alongside the grilled sausage, collard greens, black beans, fries, and rice.
