Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the Angus Certified Filet Mignon out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking. This ensures even cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Pat the filet mignon dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Sear the Steak

In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the filet mignon and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness is reached.

  4. 4

    Add Flavor

In the last minute of cooking, add minced garlic and the sprig of rosemary or thyme to the pan for added flavor. Baste the steak with the oil and herbs.

  5. 5

    Rest the Steak

Remove the filet mignon from the skillet and let it rest on a cutting board for about 5 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.

  6. 6

    Serve

Slice the filet mignon and serve it immediately. Enjoy with your favorite sides.
