Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Lobster Tail

Using kitchen shears, cut the top shell of the lobster tail lengthwise, exposing the meat. Gently pull the meat out slightly, leaving it attached at the base. Season with salt, pepper, and half of the melted butter.

  2. 2

    Cook the Lobster Tail

Preheat the grill or broiler. Place the lobster tail on the grill or under the broiler and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the meat is opaque and cooked through. Baste with remaining melted butter and squeeze lemon juice over it.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Filet Mignon

While the lobster is cooking, season the filet mignon with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

  4. 4

    Cook the Filet Mignon

Once the skillet is hot, add the filet mignon and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. During the last minute of cooking, add minced garlic and 2 tbs of butter to the skillet and baste the steak with the melted butter.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove the filet mignon from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes. Plate the filet mignon and lobster tail together, garnishing with fresh parsley and lemon wedges.
