Preparing the Pasta

Cook the Spaghetti
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti and set aside.
Making the Sauce

Cook the Bacon and Sausage
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped bacon and homemade sausage. Cook until browned and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.

Prepare the Cream Mixture
In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, egg yolks, grated Parmesan cheese, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth.

Combine Pasta and Sauce
Reduce the heat to low and add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet. Pour the cream mixture over the pasta, tossing quickly to combine. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.
Serving

Plate and Serve
Serve the carbonara garlic cream immediately, garnished with extra grated Parmesan and a sprinkle of black pepper if desired.
