Wing Preparation and Sauces
Method
Instructions
- 1
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). If using an air fryer, preheat to 400°F (200°C).
- 2
Pat the wings dry with paper towels to remove moisture for crispness.
- 3
In a large bowl, toss wings with olive oil, baking powder, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until evenly coated.
- 4
Arrange wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, making sure they are not touching.
- 5
Bake for 20-25 minutes, then flip and bake another 5-10 minutes until crispy and golden.
- 6
While wings bake, prepare the sauce options you plan to use.
- 7
Teriyaki option: in a small saucepan, simmer teriyaki sauce for 2-3 minutes to thicken slightly.
- 8
BBQ option: warm BBQ sauce in a small saucepan or microwave until heated through.
- 9
Frank's RedHot option: whisk Frank's hot sauce with a tablespoon of butter to mellow heat (optional) until combined.
- 10
When wings are done, transfer to a large bowl and toss with your chosen sauce. Use 3 tablespoons teriyaki, or 3 tablespoons BBQ, or 2 tablespoons Frank's RedHot to coat. Start with less and add more to coat.
- 11
Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions if desired; serve immediately with dipping sauces.
