Garlic lemon butter sauce
Cooking steps

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment.

In a small saucepan, melt the butter with the olive oil over medium heat until fully combined and just starting to bubble.

Add the minced garlic to the butter-oil mixture and cook 1–2 minutes, stirring, until fragrant but not browned.

Off heat, whisk in lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, and pepper into the sauce.

Arrange the crab halves on the prepared baking sheet. Brush generously with about half of the garlic lemon butter sauce. If using, dust with paprika.

Bake the crab for 6–8 minutes, until the crab is warmed through and the butter is bubbling.
