Hummus

Method

Hummus Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare Chickpeas

Drain and rinse the canned chickpeas under cold water.

  2. 2

    Blend Ingredients

In a food processor, combine the drained chickpeas, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, ground cumin, salt, and water. Blend until smooth.

  3. 3

    Adjust Consistency

If the hummus is too thick, you can add a little more water or olive oil until the desired consistency is reached.

  4. 4

    Taste and Adjust Seasoning

Taste the hummus and adjust salt or lemon juice as needed.

Lamb Preparation

  1. 5

    Sauté Lamb

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the lamb pieces and season with salt, black pepper, ground cinnamon, and ground cumin.

  2. 6

    Cook Until Browned

Sauté the lamb for about 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through. Make sure to stir occasionally.

  3. 7

    Remove from Heat

Once the lamb is cooked, remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes.

Serving

  1. 8

    Plate the Hummus

Spread the prepared hummus on a serving platter or plate, creating a well in the center.

  2. 9

    Add Lamb

Spoon the sautéed lamb into the well of the hummus.

  3. 10

    Garnish

Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the lamb for garnish.

  4. 11

    Serve

Serve immediately with pita bread or vegetable sticks.
