Method

Omelet Preparation

  1. 1

    Beat the Eggs

In a mixing bowl, crack the 3 large eggs. Add 0.5 tsp of salt and 0.25 tsp of black pepper. Whisk together until well combined and set aside.

Haloumi and Garlic Sauté

  1. 2

    Prepare the Haloumi

Slice 100g of haloumi cheese into thin pieces. Mince 2 cloves of garlic.

  2. 3

    Sauté the Haloumi

In a non-stick skillet, heat 2 tbs of olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Then, add the sliced haloumi cheese and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Cooking the Omelet

  1. 4

    Cook the Omelet

In the same skillet, pour the beaten egg mixture and let it cook for about 2 minutes, or until the edges start to set. Gently lift the edges with a spatula to allow uncooked eggs to flow underneath.

  2. 5

    Add the Cheese

Once the omelet is mostly set, layer 30g of Swiss cheese, 30g of American cheese, and the sautéed haloumi on one half of the omelet. Crumble 30g of feta cheese on top of the filling.

  3. 6

    Fold and Finish

Carefully fold the other half of the omelet over the filling. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, until the cheeses melt and the omelet is cooked through. Slide the omelet onto a plate.
