Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a large bowl, combine yogurt, minced garlic, grated ginger, cumin powder, coriander powder, paprika, turmeric powder, olive oil, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly blended.
- 2
Marinate the Beef
Cut the beef into 1-inch cubes. Add the beef cubes to the marinade, ensuring that each piece is well coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.
- 3
Prepare the Vegetables
While the beef is marinating, cut the bell peppers and onion into 1-inch pieces. Set aside until ready to assemble the kababs.
Cooking
- 4
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using skewers, soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning.
- 5
Assemble the Kababs
When the beef is ready, thread the marinated beef cubes, bell peppers, and onion pieces onto the skewers, alternating between meat and vegetables.
- 6
Grill the Kababs
Place the skewers on the preheated grill. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the beef is cooked to your desired level of doneness and the vegetables are slightly charred.
- 7
Serve
Remove the kababs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauce or flatbread.
