Preparation of Mozzarella Sticks

Prepare the Cheese
Freeze the mozzarella cheese sticks for at least 30 minutes to prevent them from melting too quickly during frying.

Chill Again
Place the breaded mozzarella sticks on a baking sheet and refrigerate for an additional 15-20 minutes to help the coating adhere.
Cooking the Mozzarella Sticks

Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Sticks
Carefully place the breaded mozzarella sticks in the hot oil, frying in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown, turning occasionally.

Drain the Sticks
Using a slotted spoon, remove the fried mozzarella sticks and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Add Tomatoes and Seasoning
Add the canned crushed tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper to the saucepan. Stir well to combine.

Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
