Method
Brewing the Tea
- 1
Boil the Water
In a kettle, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over high heat.
- 2
Add Tea
Once the water has boiled, remove it from the heat. If using loose tea leaves, add 4 teaspoons directly to the water. If using tea bags, place 4 tea bags into the hot water.
- 3
Steep the Tea
Allow the tea to steep for 3-5 minutes, depending on your taste preference. The longer you steep, the stronger the tea will be.
- 4
Strain the Tea
If you used loose tea leaves, strain the tea into a teapot or cups to remove the leaves. If you used tea bags, simply remove them.
Adding Flavorings
- 5
Sweeten Your Tea
If desired, stir in 2 tablespoons of sugar or 1 tablespoon of honey to the hot tea until fully dissolved.
- 6
Add Lemon
For a zesty kick, add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice to the tea and stir well.
- 7
Add Milk (optional)
For a creamier tea, pour in 1 cup of milk and mix well.
