Fried Cheese Curds

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Batter

In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, salt, and garlic powder. Gradually whisk in cold beer until the batter is smooth and thick.

  2. 2

    Heat the Oil

In a deep pot, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  3. 3

    Coat the Cheese Curds

Dip each cheese curd into the batter, ensuring they are fully coated.

  4. 4

    Fry the Cheese Curds

Carefully drop the battered cheese curds into the hot oil, a few at a time, and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauce: Beer cheese, Marinara, or Garlic Butter.
