Tuna Crudo
Cheese and Olive Topping
Method
Prepare the Tuna
- 1
Slice the Tuna
Using a sharp knife, slice the fresh Ahi tuna into small bite-sized cubes, approximately 1 cm in size.
- 2
Mix the Marinade
In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, capers, lemon juice, sea salt, and black pepper. Stir well to create a marinade.
- 3
Marinate the Tuna
Add the diced tuna to the marinade and gently toss to coat. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes in the refrigerator.
Prepare the Topping
- 4
Chop the Cheeses
Dice the assorted cheeses into small pieces, similar in size to the tuna cubes.
- 5
Slice the Black Olives
Slice the black olives in half to create a decorative and easy-to-eat topping.
- 6
Prepare the Basil
Wash and pat dry the fresh basil leaves. You can leave them whole or tear them into smaller pieces.
Assemble the Bites
- 7
Plate the Ingredients
On a serving platter, arrange the marinated tuna cubes, diced cheeses, sliced black olives, and basil leaves.
- 8
Drizzle with Olive Oil
Finish the dish by drizzling a little extra olive oil over the assembled ingredients for added flavor.
- 9
Serve
Serve immediately as an appetizer or a light bite, allowing guests to pick and choose their preferred combinations.
