Main Ingredients
White Wine Butter Sauce
Method
Preparation of Scallops
- 1
Wrap Scallops
Take each sea scallop and wrap it with a half slice of prosciutto. Secure with a toothpick if needed. Repeat until all scallops are wrapped.
- 2
Sear Scallops
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the wrapped scallops to the skillet and sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the prosciutto is crispy and the scallops are opaque. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
White Wine Butter Sauce
- 3
Sauté Garlic
In the same skillet used for the scallops, reduce the heat to medium and add the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic cloves and sauté for about 1 minute or until fragrant.
- 4
Add Wine
Pour in the dry white wine and bring to a simmer. Allow it to cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce reduces slightly.
- 5
Finish Sauce
Stir in the lemon juice, chopped fresh parsley, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
Assembly
- 6
Serve
Arrange the prosciutto-wrapped scallops on a serving platter. Drizzle the white wine butter sauce over the scallops. Garnish with additional parsley if desired and serve immediately.
