Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Steak

In a bowl, combine olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create a marinade.

  2. 2

    Coat the Steak

Add the flank steak to the marinade and ensure it is fully coated. Cover and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.

  3. 3

    Grill the Steak

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and place it on the grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare or until desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Once cooked, remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

  5. 5

    Slice the Steak

Slice the steak thinly against the grain to maximize tenderness.

Taco Assembly

  1. 6

    Warm the Tortillas

In a dry skillet over medium heat, warm the corn tortillas for about 30 seconds on each side until they are pliable.

  2. 7

    Assemble the Tacos

Place a few slices of grilled steak in the center of each tortilla.

  3. 8

    Add Toppings

Top the steak with diced onion and fresh cilantro. Squeeze lime juice over the top and add salsa to taste.

  4. 9

    Serve

Fold the tortillas over the filling and serve immediately with additional lime wedges on the side.
