Toppings
Optional add-ins (choose any)
Method
Base (açaí blend)
- 1
Prepare equipment
Place a high-speed blender or food processor on the counter. Have a spatula and measuring tools ready. If using a regular blender, slightly thaw the açaí for 5–10 minutes so blades can move.
- 2
Add 200 g frozen açaí puree, 1 frozen banana, and 1 cup frozen mixed berries to the blender.
- 3
Pour in 120 ml unsweetened almond milk and add 1 tablespoon honey or agave (omit or reduce for less sweetness). If using optional add-ins (protein powder, nut butter, or spinach), add them now.
- 4
Pulse 3–5 times to break up large frozen pieces, then blend continuously until smooth and thick. Scrape down the sides with a spatula as needed. The mixture should be spoonable — thicker than a smoothie but soft enough to spread (add up to 30 ml more milk if overly thick).
- 5
Taste and adjust sweetness. If mixture is too icy, let sit 1–2 minutes then stir to achieve a creamy consistency.
Assemble bowl
- 6
Spoon the açaí blend into a large bowl, using the back of the spoon to create a smooth, even surface.
- 7
Sprinkle 1 cup granola in a line or mound on one side of the bowl.
- 8
Arrange sliced banana (1 each) and sliced strawberries (4 each) across the top of the açaí.
- 9
Scatter 1 tablespoon blueberries over the bowl for color and texture.
- 10
Add 2 teaspoons toasted coconut flakes and 1 teaspoon chia seeds evenly across the bowl.
- 11
Finish with a 1 teaspoon drizzle of honey or agave over the toppings.
- 12
Serve immediately with a spoon. If preparing ahead, keep the açaí blend chilled and add granola just before serving to maintain crunch.
