Method
Açaí Smoothie Base
- 1
Prepare frozen fruit and açaí
Break the frozen açaí puree into a few chunks if in a block or open two 100 g packets. Measure frozen banana chunks (about 1 cup) and frozen mixed berries (1 cup).
- 2
Blend base
Add the frozen açaí, frozen banana, frozen mixed berries and 120 ml unsweetened almond milk to a blender. Add 1 tablespoon honey. Pulse on low to start, then blend on high in 15–20 second bursts, using a tamper if needed, until the mixture is thick, smooth and spoonable. Add an extra 1–2 tablespoons (15–30 ml) of almond milk only if the mixture is too stiff to blend—goal is a sorbet-like texture, not a pourable smoothie.

Evenly sprinkle 3 tablespoons granola over one side of the açaí bowl. Arrange 1 tablespoon fresh blueberries and the 4 sliced strawberries in a neat row or fan on top. Add half a sliced banana if using.

Drizzle 1 teaspoon honey across the toppings. Sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon chia seeds over the bowl for texture and nutrition.

Serve immediately with a spoon. If not eaten right away, keep chilled and consume within 30–45 minutes to maintain texture.
