Turkey Preparation

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- 2
Prepare the Turkey
Remove the neck and giblets from the turkey and pat it dry with paper towels.

Season the Turkey
Rub the turkey all over with olive oil, then season generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, fresh thyme, and fresh rosemary.
- 4
Roast the Turkey
Place the turkey breast-side up in a roasting pan and pour chicken broth into the bottom of the pan. Roast in the preheated oven for about 13-15 minutes per pound, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Rest the Turkey
Once cooked, remove the turkey from the oven and let it rest for at least 20 minutes before pulling the meat off the bones.
