Tuna Salad Preparation

Prepare the Tuna
Open the canned tuna and drain excess liquid. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, flake the tuna with a fork until evenly shredded.

Mix Ingredients
Add mayonnaise, finely chopped celery, red onion, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to the bowl with the tuna. Mix well until all ingredients are combined and the tuna is evenly coated.

Chill the Salad
Cover the tuna salad with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Prepare the Bread
Take two slices of whole grain bread and lay them on a clean surface or plate.

Layer Ingredients
On one slice of bread, place a slice of provolone cheese, followed by a generous scoop of the chilled tuna salad. Then add a few leaves of romaine lettuce and slices of tomato.

Top with the second slice of bread. Repeat the process for the remaining sandwiches.
