Prepare the Ingredients
Gather all the ingredients: 2 slices of your favorite bread, 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, and 2 tablespoons of butter.
Cooking

Butter the Bread
Spread 1 tablespoon of butter on one side of each slice of bread, ensuring that the entire surface is covered.

Assemble the Sandwich
Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, in a skillet over medium heat. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the bread. Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.

Once both sides are golden and the cheese is melted, remove the sandwich from the skillet. Allow it to cool for a minute, then cut it in half and serve warm.
