  2. 2

    Cream the Butter and Sugars

In a large bowl, cream together 1 cup of unsalted butter, 1 cup of brown sugar, and 1 cup of granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

  3. 3

    Add Vanilla and Eggs

Mix in 2 tsp of vanilla extract and 2 large eggs until well combined.

  4. 4

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together 1.5 cups of all-purpose flour, 0.5 cups of cocoa powder, 1 tsp of baking soda, and 0.5 tsp of salt.

  5. 5

    Mix Dry and Wet Ingredients

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in 1 cup of chocolate chips.

  6. 6

    Scoop the Batter

Using a cookie scoop, drop 6 mounds of brookie batter onto the prepared baking tray.

  7. 7

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are set but the centers are slightly underbaked. Remove from oven and let cool.
