Cook the Steak
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned steak and cook for about 4-5 minutes, stirring frequently, until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Sauté Vegetables
In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil and sauté the diced onion and sliced mushrooms until they are tender and caramelized, about 5-7 minutes. If using peppers, add them in the last 2-3 minutes of cooking.

Assemble the Cheesesteaks
Slice the hoagie rolls lengthwise without cutting all the way through. Fill each roll with the steak and cheese mixture.

Serve the cheesesteaks hot with optional hot or sweet peppers on the side for added flavor.
