Turkey and Marinade

Chipotle Ranch Dressing

Method

Turkey Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Turkey

Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Rinse the turkey under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Turkey

In a small bowl, mix olive oil, BBQ sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Rub this mixture all over the turkey, ensuring to cover the inside cavity as well.

  3. 3

    Roast the Turkey

Place the turkey on a roasting rack in a roasting pan. Roast in the preheated oven for about 13-15 minutes per pound, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Baste the turkey with the drippings every hour for extra flavor.

Salad Assembly

  1. 4

    Prepare the Salad Ingredients

While the turkey is roasting, combine mixed greens, diced tomatoes, corn, and black beans in a large mixing bowl. Toss to combine.

  2. 5

    Add Crispy Cheddar Onions

Just before serving, add the crispy cheddar onions to the salad mixture to retain their crunch.

Dressing Preparation

  1. 6

    Make the Chipotle Ranch Dressing

In a small bowl, whisk together ranch dressing, chipotle sauce, and lime juice until well combined. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Final Assembly

  1. 7

    Assemble the Dish

Once the turkey is done roasting, let it rest for at least 20 minutes before carving. Serve slices of the turkey over the mixed greens salad and drizzle with chipotle ranch dressing. Finish with additional BBQ sauce if desired.
