Preparation

  1. 1

    Slice the Vegetables

Begin by slicing the onion and mushrooms. If using whole peppers, slice them into thin strips as well.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Beef

Slice the American Wagyu beef into thin strips, ensuring uniformity for even cooking.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a large skillet over medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Once hot, add the sliced onions and sauté until they're translucent, about 3 minutes. Then add the mushrooms and peppers, cooking for an additional 5 minutes until they're tender. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

  2. 4

    Cook the Beef

Push the vegetables to one side of the skillet and add the sliced Wagyu beef to the empty side. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally until the beef is browned and cooked through.

  3. 5

    Melt the Cheese

Once the beef is cooked, place the slices of white American cheese over the beef and cover the skillet with a lid. Allow the cheese to melt for about 2 minutes.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Prepare the Hoagie Rolls

While the cheese is melting, slice the hoagie rolls lengthwise without cutting all the way through. Optionally, you can toast the rolls in a separate skillet for added crunch.

  2. 7

    Assemble the Cheesesteaks

Once the cheese has melted, use a spatula to scoop the beef and vegetable mixture and place it inside each hoagie roll. Serve immediately.
