Method
Steak Preparation
Prepare the Steak
Remove the ribeye steaks from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for at least 30 minutes. This helps them cook evenly.
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to high heat (about 450°F or 232°C).
Grill the Steaks
Place the steaks on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until they reach your desired doneness. Use a meat thermometer for accuracy (130°F or 54°C for medium-rare).
Rest the Steaks
Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.
Fries Preparation
Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips (about 1/4 inch thick) to create fries.
Soak the Fries
Soak the potato strips in cold water for at least 30 minutes. This removes excess starch and helps them become crispy.
Heat the Oil
In a deep fryer or a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
Fry the Potatoes
Drain the potato strips and pat them dry with paper towels. Fry the potatoes in batches for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Do not overcrowd the fryer.
Season the Fries
Remove the fries from the oil and drain on paper towels. Immediately sprinkle with salt and paprika while hot.
