Burger Patty

Method

Burger Patty Preparation

1

Prepare the Beans

In a mixing bowl, mash the black beans with a fork until mostly smooth, leaving some chunks for texture.

2

Combine Ingredients

Add cooked quinoa, bread crumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, grated carrot, cumin powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper to the mashed beans. Mix until well combined.

3

Form Patties

Divide the mixture into 4 equal parts and shape them into burger patties.

4

Cook the Patties

Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until golden brown.

Fries Preparation

5

Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to resemble fries.

6

Season the Fries

In a large bowl, toss the potato strips with olive oil, salt, pepper, and paprika until evenly coated.

7

Bake the Fries

Spread the fries on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake in a preheated oven at 425°F (220°C) for about 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden.

Assembly

8

Assemble the Burgers

Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each burger bun. Add a cooked veggie patty, top with a slice of tomato, and finish with the top half of the bun.

9

Serve

Serve the veggie burgers hot with a side of crispy fries.
