Take the Wagyu beef steak out of the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature for about 30-60 minutes before cooking.

Preparing the Steak

Generously season both sides of the steak with sea salt and black pepper.

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Allow the oil to heat until shimmering.

Place the steak in the hot skillet. For a medium-rare finish, cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or to your desired level of doneness.

If using fresh rosemary, add the sprigs to the skillet during the last minute of cooking for added flavor.

Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest on a cutting board for 5-10 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.

Rinse the shrimp, scallops, and mussels under cold water. Remove the shells from the shrimp and scallops if necessary, and discard any open or damaged mussels.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, cream the unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract and mix until combined. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, until a smooth dough forms.
