Cooking Instructions
- 1
Cook the Pasta
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add elbow pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 2
Prepare the Cheese Sauce
In the same pot, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for about 1 minute until lightly golden. Gradually whisk in milk, cooking until the mixture thickens. Stir in cheddar cheese, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
- 3
Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the drained pasta to the cheese sauce, mixing well to coat the pasta evenly.
- 4
Prepare the Bread Crumb Topping
In a small bowl, combine bread crumbs with a little melted butter and smoked paprika. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated.
- 5
Bake
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the mac and cheese to a baking dish, sprinkle the bread crumb mixture on top, and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
- 6
Serve
Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
