Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Steak
Take the ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. This helps the steak cook evenly.
- 2
Season the Steak
Generously season both sides of the ribeye steaks with salt and black pepper.
- 3
Heat the Pan
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
- 4
Cook the Steak
Add the ribeye steaks to the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting time for your preferred doneness.
- 5
Add Flavor
In the last minute of cooking, add butter, garlic cloves, and thyme to the pan. Spoon the melted butter over the steaks to enhance flavor.
- 6
Rest the Steak
Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing.
