Crab Cake Ingredients

Method

Crab Cake Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Crab Mixture

In a large bowl, gently combine the crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, egg, breadcrumbs, parsley, salt, and black pepper until well mixed. Be careful not to break up the crab meat too much.

  2. 2

    Form the Cakes

Using your hands, form the crab mixture into patties, about 3 inches in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  3. 3

    Chill the Cakes

Refrigerate the crab cakes for at least 30 minutes to help them hold their shape while cooking.

  4. 4

    Cook the Crab Cakes

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, gently add the crab cakes and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and heated through.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve the crab cakes warm with herb remoulade, tomato-pepper jam, mashed potatoes, and today's vegetable.
