Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pie Crust

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and poke holes in the bottom with a fork to prevent bubbling. Pre-bake the crust for about 10 minutes until lightly golden, then set aside.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Spinach

In a skillet over medium heat, add the fresh spinach and sauté until wilted, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Filling

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg until well combined. Stir in the sautéed spinach, shredded Gruyere cheese, and crumbled bacon.

  4. 4

    Combine and Bake

Pour the filling mixture into the pre-baked pie crust, spreading it evenly. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the quiche is set and lightly browned on top.

  5. 5

    Cool and Serve

Allow the quiche to cool for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
