Method

Cook Pasta

1

Boil Water

In a large pot, bring 2 liters of water to a rolling boil. Add 1 tablespoon of salt.

2

Cook Spaghetti

Once the water is boiling, add 200 grams of spaghetti. Stir occasionally and cook for 9-11 minutes, or until al dente.

3

Drain Pasta

Once cooked, drain the spaghetti in a colander and set aside.

Prepare Sauce

4

Heat Olive Oil

In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat.

5

Sauté Garlic

Add 3 minced garlic cloves to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant.

6

Add Tomatoes and Seasoning

Pour in 400 grams of canned tomatoes, add 1 teaspoon of dried oregano, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of black pepper. Stir well.

7

Simmer Sauce

Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 10-15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

8

Add Fresh Basil

Tear and add 10 fresh basil leaves to the sauce, stirring to combine.

Combine and Serve

9

Mix Pasta and Sauce

Add the drained spaghetti to the sauce in the skillet. Toss to coat the pasta evenly.

10

Serve

Plate the spaghetti and garnish with 50 grams of grated Parmesan cheese and additional fresh basil leaves.
