Method

Preparing the Burger Patty

1

Mix and Shape the Patty

In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until just combined. Form the mixture into two equal patties, about 3/4 inch thick.

2

Cook the Patty

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

Preparing the Fries

3

Cut the Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch wide.

4

Heat the Oil

In a deep pot, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

5

Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil in batches. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt.

Assembling the Burger

6

Toast the Buns

Optionally, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

7

Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked beef patty. Add a slice of cheese on top of the patty, then slices of tomato. Spread ketchup and mustard on the top bun before placing it on top.
