Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Salmon

Rinse the salmon fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Rub olive oil over the fillets, making sure they are evenly coated.

  2. 2

    Season the Salmon

Sprinkle the blackening seasoning, salt, and black pepper evenly over both sides of the salmon fillets.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Lettuce Leaves

Wash the lettuce leaves under cold water and pat them dry. Set aside on a plate.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Grill the Salmon

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Place the seasoned salmon fillets on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

  2. 5

    Prepare the Side

While the salmon is grilling, trim the ends of the asparagus and toss them with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Grill the asparagus for about 5-7 minutes until tender and slightly charred.

Plating

  1. 6

    Serve the Dish

Place each grilled salmon fillet on a lettuce leaf. Arrange the grilled asparagus on the side. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the asparagus if desired.
