Method
Pork Chop Preparation
- 1
Marinate the Pork Chops
In a bowl, combine brown sugar, soy sauce, minced garlic, and black pepper. Mix well until the sugar is dissolved.
- 2
Coat the Chops
Place the pork chops in the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
- 3
Cook the Pork Chops
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Remove the chops from the marinade and reserve the marinade. Sear the pork chops for 4-5 minutes on each side until browned.
- 4
Glaze the Pork Chops
Pour the reserved marinade over the chops in the skillet. Reduce heat to low, cover, and let simmer for 10 minutes, basting occasionally, until the pork is cooked through and the glaze thickens.
Sandwich Assembly
- 5
Prepare the Buns
While the pork chops are cooking, slice the buns in half and toast them lightly on a grill or in a toaster.
- 6
Assemble the Sandwich
Spread mayonnaise and mustard on the bottom half of each bun. Place a lettuce leaf, a slice of tomato, 2 pickle slices, and a pork chop on top. Cover with the top half of the bun.
