Prepare the Burger Patty
- 1
Mix the Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine 1 pound of Angus beef with 1 tsp of salt and 1 tsp of black pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
- 2
Form the Patties
Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up during cooking.

Lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

Assemble the Burger
On the bottom half of each bun, spread 2 tablespoons of special sauce. Layer with lettuce, a cooked patty with melted cheese, tomato slices, onion slices, and then top with the other half of the bun.
