Method

Preparation of Chicken and Vegetables

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Begin by dicing the boneless chicken breasts into small, bite-sized pieces. Slice the green and red bell peppers, as well as the yellow onion, into thin strips.

  2. 2

    Cook the Chicken

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced chicken to the skillet, season with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook the chicken for about 5-7 minutes until it is no longer pink, stirring occasionally.

  3. 3

    Add Vegetables

Once the chicken is cooked, add the sliced onions and bell peppers to the skillet. Sauté for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.

Assembling the Sandwich

  1. 4

    Melt the Cheese

Reduce the heat to low and place the slices of provolone cheese on top of the chicken and vegetable mixture. Cover the skillet with a lid and let it sit for about 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted.

  2. 5

    Prepare the Rolls

While the cheese is melting, slice the hoagie rolls in half lengthwise. You can lightly toast the rolls in a separate pan if desired.

  3. 6

    Build the Sandwich

Once the cheese has melted, scoop the chicken and vegetable mixture into the prepared hoagie rolls. Serve immediately while hot.
