Prepare the Chicken Wings

In a large bowl, combine salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Add the chicken wings and toss until they are well coated with the seasoning.

Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan or a deep fryer, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Wings
Carefully place the seasoned chicken wings into the hot oil. Fry them for about 10-12 minutes or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.

Combine Mixtures
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.

Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions. Pour enough batter into the waffle iron to cover the surface and cook until golden brown, about 5 minutes. Repeat with the remaining batter.
