Prepare the Pork Belly

Season the Pork Belly
Rub the pork belly with salt, black pepper, and five spice powder on all sides. Allow it to marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

Prepare the Glaze
In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, honey, and rice vinegar.

Roast the Pork Belly
Place the seasoned pork belly on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, skin side up. Roast in the preheated oven for 2 to 2.5 hours, basting with the glaze every 30 minutes, until the skin is crispy and the meat is tender.

Slice and Serve
Once done, let the pork belly rest for 15 minutes before slicing it into bite-sized pieces.
Prepare the Pickled Cucumber

Make the Pickling Liquid
In a separate bowl, mix together the salt, sugar, rice vinegar, and water until dissolved.

Pickle the Cucumber
Pour the pickling liquid over the cucumber slices. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Serve the Dish

Plate the Pork Belly
On a serving plate, arrange the sliced pork belly.

Add Pickled Cucumber
Top the pork belly with the pickled cucumbers.

Drizzle Hoisin Sauce
Finish the dish by drizzling hoisin sauce over the top.
