Prepare the Coffee
Brew a cup of strong espresso coffee and allow it to cool. If using coffee liqueur, mix it into the coffee.

Make the Cream Mixture
In a mixing bowl, combine mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Whip until smooth and creamy.

Prepare the Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled coffee, ensuring they are soaked but not overly soggy.

Layer the Tiramisu
In a serving dish, arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers. Repeat with another layer of soaked ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone mixture.

Chill and Serve
Refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight) to set. Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder.
