Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Gather all the ingredients and ensure the lobster tail is thawed if frozen.

  2. 2

    Season the Filet Mignon

Rub the filet mignon with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and minced garlic. Let it rest at room temperature for about 15 minutes.

  3. 3

    Cook the Filet Mignon

In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the filet mignon and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and let it rest.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Lobster Tail

Cut the top of the lobster tail with kitchen shears and gently pull the meat up from the shell. Season the lobster meat with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice.

  5. 5

    Cook the Lobster Tail

In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of butter. Place the lobster tail meat side down and cook for 3-4 minutes, then turn and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the meat is opaque.

  6. 6

    Serve

Plate the filet mignon and lobster tail together, garnishing with additional lemon juice if desired. Serve immediately.
