Dulce de Leche Roll Ingredients

Method

Dulce de Leche Roll Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Roll Cake

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 15x10-inch jelly roll pan. Line the bottom with parchment paper.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  3. 3

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, beat the eggs until frothy. Add vanilla extract and melted butter, and mix well.

  4. 4

    Combine Ingredients

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.

  5. 5

    Bake the Cake

Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  6. 6

    Cool and Roll

Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Place a clean kitchen towel on a flat surface and dust it with powdered sugar. Carefully invert the cake onto the towel and peel off the parchment paper. Roll the cake tightly in the towel and let it cool completely.

  7. 7

    Fill the Cake

Once cooled, unroll the cake gently and spread a layer of dulce de leche evenly over the surface. Roll it back up without the towel.

  8. 8

    Prepare Whipped Cream

In a mixing bowl, whip the cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold in powdered sugar.

  9. 9

    Serve

Slice the roll and serve with whipped cream on the side, drizzling more dulce de leche on top if desired.
