Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Cauliflower
Remove the leaves from the cauliflower head and cut it into florets. Steam the florets for about 5-7 minutes until tender, then let them cool.
- 2
Mash the Cauliflower
Once cooled, place the steamed cauliflower in a large bowl and mash it with a fork or potato masher until it reaches a chunky consistency.
- 3
Mix Ingredients
Add the flour, eggs, chopped green onions, garlic powder, cumin, salt, black pepper, and Parmesan cheese (if using) to the mashed cauliflower. Mix until well combined.
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- 5
Fry the Fritters
Using a tablespoon, scoop the cauliflower mixture and shape it into patties. Fry the patties in the heated oil for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
- 6
Drain and Serve
Remove the fritters from the skillet and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
