Remove the pot from heat, and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, salt, black pepper, and paprika until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
4. Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce, stirring until the pasta is well coated.
5. Optional Baking Step
If desired, transfer the mac and cheese to a baking dish, sprinkle breadcrumbs on top, and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
